In this lesson, you will learn how to create an assessment, and about their relationship to courses. You will also learn how to add results for an assessment, and publish them to students’ profiles.
Description of the Fields for a New Assessment
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Class | Search for the class that you wish to give this assessment task to. |
| Assessable | Tick the box if this task is assessable. Leave unticked if it is simply a class task. |
| Course Assessment | Search for the Assessment Header that you have placed on the Course. |
| Name | The name of the Assessment Header will appear by default – however, you can change the name to suit your needs. |
| Weighting | Enter the weighting of the task. |
| Available to Students | Enter the date that the students received or will receive the Assessment. |
| Due | This is the due date for the Assessment. |
| Marking Due | This is the date the marking is due to be completed. |
| Assigned To | Choose the teacher who is responsible for the marking of this task. |
| Include in Report | This will add the the Assessment to the Academic Report, if it is supported by the Academic Report Template. |
| Categories | You can add categories to this Assessment to use for analysis later. Examples include Examination, Topic Test, Presentation, etc. |
| Description | This is a description of the task that can be as long or as short as you require. |
| Grading Method | This is the Grading Method that will be used for this Assessment task. |
